GENERAL
INFORMATION: According to a customer some 16Mbit Token-Ring boards have
problems on rings with over 100 users (see Infoworld Aug 27
pg 34). The Compaq board may have this problem. On a ring
with 125 users, he replaced the Compaq Token-Ring boards
with IBM boards and it has been up for 4 days now. It would
previously go down two to three times daily.
This has to do with the early revisions of the chip set that
came from Texas Instruments. Contact Compaq for more
information.
